Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 27, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Hakapoké uses cookies, local storage and similar technologies on our website and inside the installed PWA. By using the Service you agree to the use of cookies as described below. You can withdraw or update your consent at any time.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, IndexedDB and service worker caches. We use both first-party and third-party technologies.

2. Categories we use

Strictly necessary

Required to operate the Service. They cannot be turned off and do not require consent. Examples: session cookies set by Clerk for authentication, CSRF protection, and the local storage of your cart.

Functional

Remember preferences such as theme (light/dark), language, recently viewed items and saved addresses.

Analytics

Aggregated, privacy-friendly statistics via Vercel Analytics to understand how the Service is used and improve it. Loaded only after you accept the cookie banner.

Marketing

Currently not in use. If we introduce marketing cookies in the future, we will request your consent before activating them.

3. Service worker cache

As a Progressive Web App, Hakapoké caches static assets and recent pages to work offline. These caches are stored locally on your device and contain no personal information. You can clear them in your browser settings or by uninstalling the app.

4. Managing your choices

You can review and update your choices at any time from the cookie banner shown on first visit, or by clearing your browser's site data. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and ordering.
